Acu-Seal Series - Vacuum Impregnation Resins

With Chem-Mat porosity sealing technology, a reliable sealing of castings, powder metal, molded plastic electrical parts, and other porous substrates can be achieved by using our specially formulated low viscosity sealants. Applying a vacuum impregnation technique, the liquid resins can fill internal micro- and macroscopic voids and cracks in ferrous and non-ferrous alloy castings as well as other metal and non-metal parts. The filled liquid can be cured in-situ to form solid thermoset plastic. These impregnated parts create leak-free assemblies that are capable of handling high pressure gas and fluid operations. We provide several grades for different curing methods such as anaerobic cure at room temperature or for heat cure processes at elevated temperatures. We also provide one grade with high solvent tolerance and temperature resistance.

Product Features Operational Benefits Net Results
No mix-single component, low viscosity. Contains no solvents, no solid materials, and produces no gaseous by-products Easy handling and cost effectiveness for sealing porous materials. No solvent release or bad odors around working area Reduce production cost and increase productivity. Improve working conditions and reduce environmental pollution
Simply apply vacuum/pressure impregnation technique to force impregnant into pores. Cure at ambient or elevated temperature Impregnant fills porous openings and making the part pressure tight Proven effectiveness and economic values for preventing leaks in parts designed to contain liquids or gaseous under pressure
Wide range of viscosity and resins property to meet specific parts working environment Versatile for various materials and operational conditions Function oriented applications for specific parts with various sizes of porosity.
Cured resins form tough, durable material Reliable and durable sealing Improves reliability of finished products and eliminates costly leaking problem
Feasible for many materials include die castings, sand castings, pressure castings, powder metals, plastic, ceramic and wooden components Versatile for various applications for designated materials. Valued added to metal parts for machining, handling, and assembly. Improves surface smoothness for painting, plating, or lacquering
